The SonicWall TZ80 firewall is a compact, subscription-based Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) designed for SOHO, branch offices, and IoT environments. It delivers a firewall throughput of 750 Mbps and supports up to 300,000 concurrent connections. The hardware features four Gigabit Ethernet ports, one SFP slot, and integrated USB connectivity. Engineered for high security efficacy at a low total cost of ownership (TCO), it provides advanced threat prevention, including Capture ATP sandboxing, IPS, and SSL VPN capabilities, while integrating seamlessly with Zero Trust Edge (ZTE) architectures.
SonicWall TZ80 Review
The SonicWall TZ80 was released in Q2 of 2025 to great success. It replaced the SOHO 250 and improved on its technical specs in almost every way. The SonicWall TZ80 has a max throughput of 750 Mbps, 250 Mbps DPI/SSL throughput, 300,000 max connections (SPI), 250 single sign on users, and much more.
