All three suites include the stateful firewall, VPN, SD-WAN, IPS, Application Control, WebBlocker, spamBlocker, Gateway AntiVirus, and Botnet Detection. Prime Security adds APT Blocker, DNSWatch, and Shadow AI, plus 90 days of log retention in WatchGuard Cloud. Total Security adds Network Management, IntelligentAV, ThreatSync XDR, and EDR Core, extends log retention to 365 days, and steps you up to Gold 24x7 support. Basic and Prime include Standard 24x7 support.

Yes, for most offices. The two 2.5GbE ports take a multi-gig WAN handoff on copper, and the two SFP+ ports support 10Gb fiber. With full UTM scanning turned on, WatchGuard rates the T175 at 2.30 Gbps, and fast scan mode reaches 3.80 Gbps. Real throughput depends on which services you enable and your traffic mix, so tell us your connection speed and we'll confirm the fit.

If you're running an older tabletop like a T40, T55, or T80 and your internet or LAN is moving past gigabit, the T175 is a natural next step. It's sized for up to 80 users and adds 2.5GbE and 10Gb SFP+ ports that those older models don't have. Ask us about WatchGuard Trade Up pricing, which can lower the cost when you retire an eligible appliance.

The T175 ships with a power adapter (with US, EU, UK, and AU plug blades), a 1G copper SFP transceiver, and a wall mount kit. Rack mounting takes the optional rack mount ear kit, sold separately. The appliance has two DC power inputs, so you can add a second power adapter for redundancy, but that second adapter is also sold separately.

The T175 supports up to 80 branch office VPN tunnels and 80 mobile VPN users. Site-to-site VPN supports IKEv2, IPSec, policy and route based tunnels, and TLS hub and spoke. Remote access supports IKEv2, IPSec, L2TP, and TLS. VPN is included with every security suite.

Either works. During setup you choose cloud managed or locally managed. Cloud managed Fireboxes are configured and monitored in WatchGuard Cloud alongside your other WatchGuard products. Locally managed units use Fireware Web UI or WatchGuard System Manager. How long WatchGuard Cloud keeps your logs and reports depends on your security suite.

Order the renewal or upgrade SKU for the Firebox T175 from us and we'll process it with WatchGuard. You then activate it against the Firebox serial number in your WatchGuard account and sync the updated feature key to the appliance. If you're moving from Basic to Prime or Total Security, our team can quote the upgrade path that fits your current term.

Yes. Our certified engineers can configure your T175 for your environment before it leaves our warehouse, starting with an analysis call and backed by 7 days of post deployment support. If you'd rather hand off day to day management, FireGuard Managed Services covers firmware, configuration changes, and monitoring for WatchGuard Fireboxes.
