The AP130 is designed for small offices, branch locations, and light-density indoor environments where a compact, wall- or ceiling-mounted 802.11ax access point covers the need without the overhead of a high-density model. It is a good fit for spaces with a moderate number of concurrent wireless clients and straightforward coverage requirements.

The AP130 is managed in WatchGuard Cloud and requires an active WatchGuard Wi-Fi Management license, either Standard or USP. Both give you centralized visibility and control over wireless policy alongside other WatchGuard products in your environment, and USP adds more advanced features on top of Standard.

The AP130 runs on 802.3at (PoE+) and is also compatible with 802.3af PoE switches and injectors. If PoE isn't available, it can be powered with an optional 12V/2A DC adapter.

Yes. The AP130 can be deployed in standalone cloud-managed mode and does not require a WatchGuard firewall on-site. A WatchGuard Wi-Fi Management license is required for cloud management regardless of the gateway device in use.
