It's a one-year license for SonicWall Cloud Secure Edge, the zero trust remote access platform that came with your 3 & Free firewall purchase. It covers secure access to private apps and internet protection for remote users, with a set number of user licenses based on your firewall.
No. The 12-month license was included with your 3 & Free purchase. You only pay if you choose to renew after the term, or if you'd like our engineers to configure it for you, which is $100 off for 3 & Free customers.
No. The firewall just needs to be registered in the same MySonicWall tenant as your Cloud Secure Edge license. That's why we recommend activating CSE in the tenant your firewall already lives in.
No. Many teams run CSE alongside their existing VPN, move a pilot group over first, and retire the VPN once everyone is comfortable. We can help you plan that cutover.
If you want to keep CSE, renew through us before the term ends and your setup carries over. If you don't renew, the CSE license simply expires. Your firewall and its 3-year security services are not affected.
